By using this website, submitting a pickup request, or contacting Colorado Book Donation, you agree to these Terms of Use.
Our Book Pickup Service
Colorado Book Donation provides free book pickup in selected communities in the Pikes Peak region, including Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Cascade, and Green Mountain Falls.
Pickup availability depends on location, scheduling, accessibility, and the size and nature of the collection.
Submitting a pickup request does not guarantee a specific pickup date or time. We will contact you to coordinate a mutually convenient pickup.
Books We Accept
We welcome books of many types, including fiction, nonfiction, textbooks, children’s books, reference books, older books, mixed collections, estate libraries, and large home libraries.
Books generally do not need to be sorted before pickup.
We reserve the right to decline items that are unsafe, contaminated, hazardous, illegal, or materially different from the collection described to us.
Ownership of Books
By voluntarily giving books to Colorado Book Donation and allowing us to remove them from your property, you represent that you have the authority to transfer those books.
Once books have been picked up and removed, ownership of those books transfers to Colorado Book Donation.
Books we receive may be reused, redistributed, donated to other organizations or individuals, resold, recycled, or otherwise placed where they may continue to be useful.
Because books may be processed quickly after pickup, we cannot guarantee that books can be returned after they have been collected.
No Tax-Deductibility Guarantee
The transfer of books to Colorado Book Donation should not automatically be assumed to qualify as a tax-deductible charitable contribution.
Federal tax deductions for donated property generally depend on whether the recipient is a qualified organization and whether applicable IRS requirements are satisfied.
Colorado Book Donation does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice. Please consult a qualified tax professional regarding your individual circumstances.
Pickup Access and Safety
When scheduling a pickup, you agree to provide reasonably accurate information about:
Your location
The approximate quantity of books
Where the books are located
Any stairs, access restrictions, or other circumstances that could affect pickup
You are responsible for providing safe and lawful access to the books at the agreed pickup location.
We may postpone or cancel a pickup if conditions are unsafe or circumstances prevent us from reasonably completing the pickup.

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information on this website. However, website information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.
We may change our service areas, scheduling procedures, accepted materials, website content, or other aspects of our services at any time.
No Guarantee of Availability
Although book pickup is offered free of charge, pickup is subject to scheduling and availability.
